Next Month, on 23 July, Anthony Green will be moving to Boulder, Colorado to prepare for study at his new school: the University of Colorado at Boulder. After 6 years of study in Boston, he is about to embark on a new journey out west, however he will be returning often to the east coast. He is also in the process of revamping his website. Current Events
Saturday, 28 June 2008, First Church in Boston, Boston, MA @ 8:00PM: Freisinger Chamber Orchestra Inaugural Concert. Program to include Instinct for string orchestra. This piece was composed specifically for this ensemble, and commissioned by the conductor Peter Freisinger. The concert will also include works by Barber, Haydn, Vivaldi, an improvisation by Peter Freisinger, and the premiere of the Siren Etude by Luiz Castellġes. Spring 2009, venue TBA @ Time TBA: The Providence String Quartet to perform a recital of music specifically about social justice. The program will include the premiere of a new work for double string quartet. This piece was commissioned by the Providence String Quartet, and the work is made possible by a composer residency funded by the Argosy Foundation.
Spring 2011, Atlas Blackbox Theater, Boulder, CO @ Time TBA: The premiere of 3 Vignettes of Job, a new work for singers, instrumental ensemble, electronics, film, and improvised dance based on the Book of Job, research about this ancient text, and stories of Job-like characters in a modern setting. This piece is made possible by the Atlas Fellowship, offered by the University of Colorado at Boulder.
